Work With Us

Build a healthier, more sustainable future for the people who serve.

Supporting people in trauma-exposed professions requires more than a one-time wellness presentation or a list of resources offered after something goes wrong.

On the Job and Off Foundation partners with departments, agencies, organizations, associations, and communities to build practical, culturally informed systems of support. Our work helps individuals understand the impact of chronic stress and trauma, equips families with tools they can use at home, strengthens leadership, and creates organizational cultures where people can build sustainable careers without sacrificing their well-being.

Whether you are looking for a single training, a specialized cohort, clinical support, or a comprehensive organizational partnership, we will work with you to identify the needs of your people and create an approach that fits your organization.

Ways to Work With Us

Education and Training

Bring nervous system literacy and practical resilience education directly to your organization.

Our interactive trainings help participants understand how stress and trauma affect the brain, body, behavior, relationships, and performance. Rather than relying on generic wellness messaging, we give people language for what they are experiencing and realistic tools they can use on the job and at home.

Training topics may include:

  • Nervous System Literacy

  • The 3 R’s of Resilience™

  • Cumulative and Occupational Trauma

  • Burnout, Moral Injury, and Compassion Fatigue

  • Family Resilience

  • Leadership Through Stress and Crisis

  • Vicarious Resilience™

  • Building Repeatable Rhythms of Resilience

Programs can be delivered as keynote presentations, workshops, webinars, conference sessions, or customized training experiences.

Leadership Development

Healthy organizations require leaders who understand both operational demands and the human impact of the work.

Our leadership programs help supervisors, officers, and organizational leaders recognize signs of cumulative stress, respond more effectively after difficult events, build trust within their teams, and create cultures where asking for support is viewed as a strength.

Leadership development may include workshops, consulting, coaching, cohort-based programs, and long-term organizational support.

Clinical Support

Through our Frontline clinical program, we help connect first responders, military members, trauma-exposed professionals, and their families with trusted clinicians who understand the culture and demands of their work.

Organizations may partner with us to expand access to culturally competent care, create referral pathways, or provide funded clinical sessions for their members.

Frontline is not simply a provider directory. We help individuals navigate the process of finding appropriate support and reduce the barriers that can stand between someone and meaningful care.

Family Programs

The impact of trauma-exposed work does not end when a shift is over.

Our family programs provide spouses, partners, and family members with education, shared language, and practical tools for navigating stress, communication, connection, transitions, and the ripple effects of service.

Family programming may include workshops, virtual cohorts, department-wide education, and customized programs for couples and families.

Organizational Partnerships

For organizations ready to move beyond isolated wellness initiatives, we offer comprehensive resilience partnerships.

These collaborations may combine education, clinical support, leadership development, family programming, consultation, and organizational strategy. We work with you to understand existing strengths, identify gaps, and build a coordinated system of support across the career span.

Partnerships can be developed for individual departments, regional organizations, professional associations, statewide systems, and other trauma-exposed workforces.

Who We Work With

We partner with organizations serving people who routinely encounter trauma, crisis, loss, danger, and sustained occupational stress, including:

  • Fire and emergency medical services

  • Law enforcement and public safety agencies

  • Military members, veterans, and their families

  • Healthcare and behavioral health professionals

  • Emergency management and disaster-response organizations

  • Educators and human-service professionals

  • Professional associations and community organizations

  • Employers with trauma-exposed or high-stress workforces

A Partnership Built Around Your People

Every organization is different. The pressures facing a rural volunteer fire department may not be the same as those facing a statewide EMS system, a military community, or a hospital workforce.

We do not begin with a prepackaged answer.

We begin by listening.

Together, we identify the needs of your people, the resources already in place, the barriers preventing those resources from being used, and the opportunities to create meaningful, sustainable change.

Let’s Build Something That Lasts

Your people should not have to reach a breaking point before meaningful support becomes available.

Whether you are planning an upcoming training, strengthening an existing wellness program, expanding clinical resources, or building a comprehensive resilience strategy, we would be honored to work alongside you.

Let’s create a culture where the people who serve others have what they need to remain connected, capable, and whole—on the job and off.
